Success after IF

Start Moving, D****t!

So I'm freaking the flip out.  I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow and I swear I haven't felt the baby in like 2 days.  This is really irritating me.  I don't remember this happening with the other kids.  I know I was feeling frequent movement by now (I even remember seeing my daughter poking out of my skin a couple of times by 18 weeks!!!).

I know it's early (and normal), but I don't care.

This is not helping my anxiety.  AT ALL.  C'mon kid.  Get big enough so mama can get a lil' reassurance here.

Re: Start Moving, D****t!

  • Aw, I'm so sorry! Such a tough spot -- your poor nerves! I didn't feel for sure movement til at least 19-20 weeks, I think, so you're still so early to me, lol.

Have you done the drinking cold water & laying down on your left side stuff? Does that apply that early?!

Maybe you've just got a chill LO in there? :) Here's hoping you get some action ASAP!

I know that is frustrating! Water or juice and lying on my side usually did the trick. I'm sure everything is fine, but I know more consistent movement would make you feel better.

  • I guess I really should have said, "grow bigger so I can feel you moving, d****t!"  I know it's been moving for quite awhile now!  Ha!  Anyway, I totally know it's early and I know it's normal not to feel consistent movement yet, but I'm getting impatient!  ;)

Carrie, why do I feel like you're a million months ahead of me?  I just looked at your ticker and thought to myself, "That lucky biotch!!!"  HA.

Anyway, I'm just getting frustrated b/c I know I was feeling the other kids all of the time by now and I can't relax about it.  And naturally I don't have another appointment for another 10 days.  Yippie.

You need to rent yourself a doppler, STAT!  That is the only thing that made me feel better on days when I didn't feel anything, especially in the stage you are at. Inevitably, I would start using it and then DD would move.  It always made me feel better!

I do think it is normal to not feel it consistently where you are. My #2 (DD#1) had an anterior placenta, and I couldn't feel her until about 20 weeks.  TORTURE!  DD#2 was a little earlier, but still not as early as I felt DS - weird.  Anyway, good luck!

Just think in 1 month you'll be just as far as I am and feeling the baby move all the time! It is crazy how fast it goes.

  • I'm 21w and feeling very little movement. :( It's only at night when I'm laying on my side and faint enough that it makes me question whether it's the baby. At my a/s a few weeks ago we saw him moving around like crazy, but still I don't feel him. I felt G really late, but had an anterior placenta then. This time I don't so I don't know why but it freaks me out. So I sympathize!
