Sorry ladies, but I'm hoping to draw upon your experience.
I am employed, but I have been in touch for several months with a well funded healthcare non-profit that I *really* want to work for, and they finally have an opening that is perfect for me. This place is insanely competitive, often having 500+ qualified applicants for a position. The recruiter has kept in touch, and the hiring manager (with whom I interviewed previously) has asked for me specifically for this position. They just invited me to an in-person interview, and I am stoked - even though it would mean relocating.
The kicker of course is that I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant. I know the usual advice is not to tell, but this organization would be giving me a management position and probably spend close to $100k relocating me and my family. I somehow feel really slimy not telling them, but on the other hand, I know once they have the info, they may choose a different path.
Not looking for anyone to make the decision for me, but hoping to hear a compelling reason to go one way or the other. If you were the hiring manager, would you be angry if you found out after the offer? FWIW, she's a mom.
Re: Another pregnant while interviewing question
Don't tell until you have a firm offer.
If you are really the right candidate, 12 weeks (or whatever you get for mat leave) is a blip in what will hopefully be a long fruitful working relationship.
