How do crocs run in size?

I've never been a fan  but it seems like all the kids wear them. My DD wears around a 9.5. I bought fake Crocs from Walmart in a 9 and 10 and they both seem huge. Are real Crocs closer to size? Or do they all run big. Maybe I should splurge for the real deal. Thanks

The Crocs I got on zulily run huge.  Neither fit my kiddos.  I went down a size (found some at Marshall's for cheap) and they both fit.

DD has had both real and fake crocs. IME they all run huge.

Most of the Crocs are for two sizes - DS1 has 8/9s right now. The ones that look like this seem to be a bit smaller and true to size, IME:

I think they run a tad big.

I would get the next size down from what they are actually in.  DS wears size 6 tennis shoes and is in the 4-5 in crocs.
