teeth grinding.

what to do? every time i try and shove her binky in there and tell her 'no, don't grind your teeth' she thinks its a game, and that it is funny. i think one of her front teeth may have a tiny chip in it. but she won't sit still long enough for me to see.

 what do i do?

Re: teeth grinding.

  • OMG same thing happening with our LO!!!  A couple weeks ago she had a really bad fall and landed right on her front teeth.  We took her to the dentist and the xrays showed no damage, but one of her front teeth has a little chip.

Ever since then she's been grinding her teeth.  But, strange part is that she will let me look and it's not her front teeth she's grinding.  Sorry no advice, but the grinding is awful.  I think I'm going to take her back to the dentist to see what's gong on.

  • DD went through a stage like this, too.  I think it's just that they realize they CAN do it, and they get a kick out of it.  Don't make too big a deal of it, and it should pass.

  • DD went through a phase where she was grinding her teeth all the time.  It lasted about 2 weeks and then she just stopped.  as PP said, I think they realize they can do it, so they do.  Once the novelty wears off, they stop.
