We have hit the dreaded wakeful and a growth spurt this week. H has decided to wake up twice a night like he used to and it's jacking with my sleep! On top of that, he's eating like a madman and being fussy/clingy during the day which is jacking with my sanity.
How long did this lovely period last for you? I've heard anywhere from a week to a month. I hope we fall in the shorter category, otherwise daycare may be seeing a lot of H until this passes! I promise I love my son but momma needs a break and daddy worked over 70 hours last week and all weekend and that ain't changing anytime soon.

Re: 4 month wakeful
I really do hope it ends soon and I hope yours does too. I can't imagine going back to work on a week like this.

Back to back, I can't even imagine!
I want to use Ferber soon and finally get H in his crib (DH is finally on board with moving him). I'm thinking I may wait it out one more week and see if the extra eating all day goes back to normal before we try it though. Plus I was just informed my lovely ILs (major eye roll) are coming Saturday and they'll screw it all up as they don't take direction well....at all.

We've been in it for almost 3 weeks now. DD won't nap. I've finally switched her routine, it used to be: nap, eat, play. Now, we nap, play, eat. I've found that she'll nurse to sleep which is much easier than trying to rock her to sleep. It also seems to calm her down after playing which seems to easily overstimulate her--just lying under her playgym can get her all amped up.
My pediatrician then told me at her 4 month appointment that she is too young to cry it out yet, so this new routine does seem to be helping.
