Pain

I just got home from working a 12 hour shift. I did get two 15 min breaks to eat, but besides that I've been on my feet. For the past four hours I've been having pain. It started on my left side. I know I have a cyst so I figured that was it. Now the pain is my entire uterus. Its constant. I'd rate it a 4 on scale of 110. I took tylenol and it hasn't helped. I just chugged 800 cc of water and am sitting with my feet up. How long would you wait before calling the doc? Or would you even call? All I could call in my RE since he hasn't recommended an OB yet. I'm 10 weeks 1 day for mobile users. I've also had 3 mcs so I'm freaking out a bit.

Re: Pain

  • When I have long active days, I always cramp up. I'd say relax for a few hours and see how you feel. If the pain gets significantly worse, absolutely call. But hopefully rest and hydration will solve the problem.

  • Pulled muscle? My friend thought she was having a miscarriage, she was in so much pain. Turns out she had over done it at work and pulled a muscle. I think the hormone relaxin has something to do with it. She is a hair dresser, so on her feet all day, but not the most strenuous job.
Try an ice pack? If it was me, I wouldn't call unless it got worse, or I started bleeding, but you really have to make the decision for yourself and your baby.
  • Take a long warm bath to ease the sore muscles. Then lay down down and take it easy! I think you are fine unless the pain starts feeling like contractions. If it is just consistent soreness you probably just over did it at work.

  • I felt super crappy yesterday. When I got home from work I ate some food, drank water and went to bed super early. I woke up feeling much better.

I hope that water and rest will help you feel better! I'd say if the pain is still there in the morning then give the doc a call. I'm thinking you just overdid it at work.

    Feel better!! Hugs!!

  • Thanks ladies. It ended up getting better with some sleep. Thank you so much for calming me down. I work again today so I'm going to ask for more help.
