We're not TTC again just yet, but thinking about girl names, we like Carolina (pronounced Caro-LEEN-a) Jane. Would it be mispronounced too often? Thoughts?
I love that pronunciation; however, you/she will have to correct people a lot since it isn't the common pronunciation for English speakers.
ETA: I would still use it if you love it. My top name choice right now is Magdalena, pronounced the Spanish way, and I anticipate having to do some correcting.
I like the Western European spelling better, but I wouldn't be entirely opposed to the Eastern European spelling. I think I just tend to like the look of the "C" more than the "K."
I love it. My daughter is Caroline, but her Israeli teachers call her Carolina and I think it's adorable.
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."

Re: Carolina
You'd likely get a mix of pronunciations. If you're OK with that, go for it
That pronunciation is typically spelled as Karolina. Do you just prefer it with a C?
There was actually a post about it a couple of days ago.
I'm trying to make a clicky, but can't on my iPad.

Not for Spanish speakers.
Yeah, I'm probably referencing Eastern European pronunciation. I should've specified. I apologize.
