maya ring sling sizing question

Quick question: I'm looking at buying a maya ring sling (used). According to their website I think I'd be a size small. (I'm only 5' 1/2" and average build.) However, this one is a Medium (as are most of the ones I find for sale.) I would be fine with a Medium right? The tail might just be longer.

It would fit but with a long tail. I'm 5'3 1/2 and my medium has a substantial tail. It's not crazy (I can still reach the pocket), but its too long for me, I wish Id gotten the small.

You can always tuck a longer tail up. Longer tails are nice if you are going to do any back carries with it.

I think you will be fine. I fit on the smaller side of small and got a size large, I liked the longer tail for nursing or when it was cold
