False labor sucks!

Yesterday and today I've had hours long periods of contractions ramping up in intensity, duration and timing but then stalling. I was almost 2 weeks late with my first and jumped right into active, hard labor so this is very new to me. I was expecting at least another week before delivery but now I'm on edge. It is so uncomfortable and kinda stressing me out.

I am right there with you, my first LO I woke up in the middle of the night with hard and frequent contractions but this time around I have been having a lot of prodromal and early labor. Have you been checked for dilation and effacement yet? Even though this sucks, it has at least brought me to 3cm and 60% effaced as of yesterday.

Ugh, I can totally relate. With DS I woke up in the middle of the night in labor. No real false labor before that. Just woke up from contractions that I couldn't sleep through, went to the hospital, was 4 cm and admitted. 6 hours later I had DS. Not I'm up all hours of the night with false labor and I'm still having to work!!! It's so annoying.

That sucks. I am sorry, I hope your LO decides to make an appearance soon and that your false labor will go away... Good luck!

Right there with ya.

4 hours of contractions/back contractions at 3 minutes apart lasting a minute then they fizzled out and now are sporadic and I'm crampy. I never had anything with my son, although I never have been this pregnant either. I'm tired. I've had bouts like this since 33 weeks, although never lasting 4 hours.

Crossing fingers I've progressed beyond 3cm and 80 effaced though so when labor does hit its wham bam!

I went to the hospital with #2 and #3 in false labor....it's so disappointing!

I went to L & D, at 38 weeks with false labor. Still pregnant. At least now I know when to go to back when I'm really in labor. Hopefully labor starts soon for you.
