Pasta

Do I have the only kid on the planet who won't eat pasta??  

DS is not interested in any form of pasta - spaghetti, twists, macaroni, you name it - with sauce, with no sauce, cheese (as in mac n cheese), or with just some olive oil and seasoning.  He won't take ONE bite! I realize it's not the end of the world because he eats lot of other things, but if I could get a pasta into the dinner rotation for him even just once a week, it would really help with menu planning.  Any tips?

    Thanks for the ravioli suggestion! I tried tortellini once but that was not a success but I haven't tried ravioli.  At first I thought it was a slippery texture issue but now he can pick up the pieces I cut up, but as soon as he picks them up and realizes what it is, I get the "ick" face and he shoves it all to the side of his tray.  Nine times out of ten, he won't even taste it.

    My daughter did that for a while and I just kept putting it on her plate.  One day she picked it up and started eating it and we haven't looked back.  Mind you, she'll only eat it with tomato sauce, but that's easy enough!

    DS wouldn't eat pasta either, until I started making the wagon-wheel shaped kind. I think it was easier for him to pick up.

    The only pasta my DD will eat is pastina (the little stars) and I make it with milk, butter, and then will mix in shredded carrots, chopped broccoli, or an egg.  It's the only way she will eat it and has it a few times a week.  I feed it to her, but she helps feed herself with her spoon.

    Mine don't like pasta either, but they will eat "Itsy Bitsy Ravioli" they are super tiny and different colored ravioli by Rising Moon and they are organic.  I do usually have to put them in their mouth though.  I buy them at Whole Foods...HTH

    DS likes ravioli ocassionally but won't really eat any other pasta either.

    You're not alone!  My LO will eat Amy's organic mac and cheese and that's absolutely it for pasta.  No other kind will do -- not spagetti, not lasagna, nothing else.  I've okay with it though, as neither my husband nor I eat pasta (DH is gluten-intolerant).
