To exercise with a toddler in the house.
If I use my elliptical, I have to put the play yard gate thing up in front of it so DD doesn't get hurt. Then she stands there and screams at me half the time or longer.
If I try to do a DVD, she cries and climbs on me.
I can't get up and do it before she wakes up. The minute I get out of bed, so does she. She refuses to let me get up before her.
I can't do it during nap time as there are other things to do during nap time.
I can't do it at night as it wakes me up too much.
No gym and can't afford a gym anyway.
Just impossible. Gahhh!!!! I'm frustrated.
Re: It's just impossible
That is SO frustrating!! Im sorry. Not sure where you live, but how about jogging or at least walking with a stroller? Lots of mom's meet up early and walk in Malls before the stores open-AC and pretty safe environment.
I work out on my lunch hour at work and find it very difficult to fit in at home because of the same issues you expressed.
When I'm home, I have my p90x cd's. If LO is behaving I will put him in his stationary round plaything and just make it a point to have him loaded up with Cherrios and kisses on demand. I must look pretty dumb doing jumping jacks while making stupid sounds and silly faces at him.
Another thing I do, is take him for a walk while pulling him in his red wagon. He gets bored in his stroller.
How is your eating? Im working with a trainer and she has me on a strict eating schedule. That seems to be FINALLY taking the pounds off for me.
Hate tea. Plus, evenings are when I get to spend time with my DH.
Live in a rural area but on a very busy, high speed road so no walking.
This will pass eventually. At one point I could exercise no problem so it will come around again. Just frustrating for now.

Nope. I'd have to drive 30 minutes to get to any sort of walking trail and I don't have that kind of gas money.
I'm hoping DD goes back to being good at playing by herself again soon. She goes through these phases. This one has just lasted 2-3 weeks instead of 1.

lol. I could. It might be the only consistent exercise I get until DD is back to her normal, independent self.
