DS had his 6 month wellness check (just four days shy of officially 6 months old). He did great at the doctors, weighs 18lbs 3 oz (I thought for certain he was over 20lbs) and 26 3/4 tall. She feels he is meeting or exceeding all the milestones for his age. So we couldn't have been happier.
For his immunization he only had two shots and although he cried he quickly got over it.
Fast forward to bedtime. Before his bottle I had given him Tylenol because I could tell his gums were really bugging him. After that he still did not want anything to do with going to bed even though we could tell he was so super tired. He fought it for hours. Finally DH got him to snuggle into his chest and got him to sleep, then we carefully moved him and he was out...2.5 hours after his normal bed time.
More fun, at midnight DS woke up screaming....it took a bottle and an episode of bubble guppies to get him to nod off again. Luckily he went to his crib easily and slept until 7am this morning (which is late, usually he is up between 5:30 and 6am).
I pre-warned d/c that she might have a difficult time getting him to nap today and asked her to watch his temperature...he felt a bit warm to the touch this AM but didn't have a fever.
Not fun, hopefully I'll pick up my happy/predictable little guy from d/c after work. DH reminded me there is a 6 month growth spurt...maybe that is what we are dealing with.
Henry Cavill...You're welcome!

Re: 6 month wellness check
Yeah, this -- we had grumpy little buggers after both the 6 month and the boosters/follow up we had a couple of weeks ago. The flu shoot and flu booster seemed to be the culprit -- that was the only new addition from the 2/4 month round-up -- and they both ran low-grade fevers and were pretty out of sorts for 2-3 days afterwards. It always shows up about 24 hours post-shots. Then, just as quickly as it started...they're back to their normal, crazy selves.

Dd never really has an issue with vaccines other than the first time she had the rotavirus drink and threw it all up immediately. Now she just doesn't swallow. i squirt it jn and it leaks out but the nurse said that was fine. I tasted it last time. It doesn't taste like anything really but it's gross because its kind of oily.

Good luck! Maybe when you get him from d/c he'll have a tooth!
DD is doing great with milestones and she's gaining fine but she's so little! 15 lbs 3 oz at 25 inches tall
