Hey friends!
I'm thinking about asking my doctor about getting an early ultrasound to be able to find out the gender of my baby. My next appt is on the 9th and I'll be 11w6d at that point. I'm hoping they can get me in before the 17th (between 12 and 13 weeks). Has anyone gotten their gender told early and has it been accurate? Is it worth asking the OB to see?
I'm going home to visit my family in MO and my husband's family will be down visiting from CO, and we want to be able to tell them in person, since the original baby announcement had to be done over Skype.
Any thoughts on this would be most welcome!!
Thanks, lovlies!!

This I think its too early.
Depending on your area, you can get a blood test as early as 12 weeks.

At both scans we could very clearly see boy parts and even got pics of them.
But I have also heard many people say that they couldn't tell or the tech wouldn't even give them a guess. So I really do think its rare to find out that early.
This is a pretty interesting link explaining early determination of the baby's sex. I found it though Selfie's website (The art of Making a Baby).
