Update: T&Ps Needed

I posted this morning about our sad NT scan experience yesterday...

We heard from the genetic counselor this afternoon, and our preliminary CVS results were clear.  So our chances have now increased from 15% to 50%.  I'm trying to be happy about this news, but there are so many more results / tests ahead of us over the next 8 weeks.  Just trying to stay positive and take this one step at a time.

Thanks so much for all the T&Ps today - it was nice to read them while we waited for the call... 

Oh, also one piece of happiness in all of this: we found out it's another boy!

Wow that's a huge percentage jump...what a roller coaster.  I will continue to think of you and your family over the coming weeks and months.

Thank you - and I know!  I don't know how much stock to put into all these numbers they are throwing at us, but the studies I've been finding on the NIH website seem to confirm what the doctors are telling me generally...it's a complete mindfluck, honestly.

Wow, first off I am impressed they got the CVS results back so quickly! What a relief! Also great news that the results are clear (I am assuming, meaning there is no trisomy?)

Hopefully everything else can be resolved along the way - and congratulations on your second little boy!

That is really encouraging!!!!  When I'm down, I watch a good movie.  Just pop something in and take some time to relax!!  I'll keep you in my prayers!!  Keep strong, dear heart!!
