So I was at the grocery store today and they only had two carts that could accommodate two babies. I took the one with the seats up top, looked like a racecar with two steering wheels (the other has a cozy coupe down below). One seatbelt was broken and it had a janky wheel that thumped when it rolled (ugh, whatever). So we're in the cereal aisle and some B with one three year old in a regular cart snarkily says to the kid "that's the cart I wanted with the car on TOP" facing me, loud enough for me to hear. Whaaa? Oh, sorry ma'm, let me take my two 10 month olds out of this cart so your child that is fully capable of WALKING can sit in the racecar. I was just floored.

I know right? And to say it to her child! I'd venture to guess she gets mad when her kid throws a tantrum over something she can't have....where do you think she gets THAT lovely trait from?

i LOL'd hard picturing this. I'd like to think if I had only had one I wouldn't be this oblivious. Those carts aren't just for fun people! They are a necessity to some of us! Bad enough that we are forced to use the most ghetto carts in the store!
My PUblix only has about three double carts (yes, the racecar kind...) and It makes me NUTS because I can hardly ever get one. Then I see them around the store with a SINGLE like...8 year old in it!!??!?!?! MAkes me so mad. I ALWAYS give dirty looks as one of my twins is riding in the actual single cart which I know is SUCH a no-no...but what choice do I have?
