Stuck with G names?

Our first born we named Gideon. I am pregnant and don't know the gender yet. We always planned to name our first born daughter Grace. I am worried about having another G name in the mix - do you think this will make it odd for any kids we have after if their names don't also start with a G? I think my hormones are causing me to overthink names.

Yes, you're overthinking.

My brother and SIL had 2 kids with G names, and consciously decided that their 3rd should as well. I'll admit, I thought it was silly

I don't think it's a big deal.  If you have a third avoid the G.  Otherwise it's fine.  And Grace is a very nice name.

I think it's fine.  If you have anymore there's no reason to stick with a G trend.

My 2 older sisters have C names and I don't. I never felt left out or less important/loved. No big deal IMO.

I like a lot of M names and will most likely have two children w M and the third another letter.

I don't see anything wrong with Gideon and Grace. Really like both names.

Yes, I think if you use the same initial twice you ought to be consistent so no one feels left out.

I prefer to avoid using the same beginning and ending sounds on each of my children's names.

I think Grace and Gideon are great names..  I definitely wouldn't use a G name if you had a third though.   I don't think it would ever even occur to me or bother me in the least if two of my sibs had same first letter in their name and I didn't!

I find nothing wrong with 2 kids with one initial and the other with a different.  Personally what I do find weird is when people stick with one letter for like 4 or 5 kids and it's super matchy. Grace and Gideon sound fine together.
