I hate my daughter having to use public potties!

My daughter is about to start preschool and she knows how to go potty herself, but when we are at a public potty, I always help her line the seat with toilet paper so she won't sit on the actual potty.  Well at preschool and even Elem school they are not allowed to help the students.  I somehow doubt she will be able to line the seat herself.  The toilet paper will either blow off when she tries to climb on top of the seat or fall off when she is scooting her bottom around.  I'm so grossed out!

Believe me, there are plenty more things to be grossed out about.  DD goes to preschool and I'm an elementary teacher.  I do have to say that DD's bathrooms are much cleaner than the ones at my school.  Sometimes you just gotta not think about it.

My DD's teacher wiped down the toilets daily. Try not to worry about it.

Not much you can do.  Make sure she knows how to wash her hands well and she'll be fine. She'll catch more germs touching things in the classrooms.

You do realize that your cell phone probably has way more germs on it than a preschool toilet, right?

Just remind her to wash her hands.

LOL.  But yeah, I agree with this...

I use a big piece of TP and wipe the toilet seat off for DS so he's not sitting in someone else's urine.  Gross.

But I don't worry too much otherwise.  Maybe teach your DD to wipe the seat off and that way there's nothing major on it.
