Intro and a question

Hi! I have lurked on this board since last year, but now that we are talking about TTC #2 I feel like this might be where I belong.

I am a SAHM to a precocious 9 month old. DD was a bit of a surprise, we had just failed our 6th IUI and were prepping for IVF when I found out I was pg. We have decided that we would like to try for a second and because it took 3 years last time we want to start sooner rather than later.

My question is what are the 'rules' for going bacteria to the RE? How long do we need to TTC? I assume any TTC doesn't count until my period returns.

    Welcome and congrats on your dd! I don't know about rules for going back to your RE. Give them a call and see what your doc suggests. I bet every doc is a little different!

    IVF #3 July 2012 ET of 3 on day 3 7/24 BFP!

    IVF #5 June 2018- PGS planned, no surviving embryos
    IVF #6 August 2018- ET of 2 on day 3 - Chemical pregnancy
    IVF #7 August 2019-....?

    Welcome! Our situation is a little different since we knew TTC on our own was useless. We made an RE consult a couple months ahead of when we knew we wanted to cycle again.

    If you have an IF diagnosis (even unexplained) then you. Can go right back to the RE as soon as you are ready. Some couples. House to. TTC. On their own first. We had frozen embies we wanted to use so we did not try on our own at all.

    Congrats on your daughter and welcome! I say call the RE! Good luck with number 2.

    Our dx was unexplained/ male factor. I feel like we are in a weird position because we got pg on a break cycle, so our RE's office would not confirm the pg.
