Missing Fluff Vent

I'm so irritated right now and I knew you ladies could relate.
DS goes to a daycare center. They were on board with CDing, so we've been doing it there for the last 9 months or so... Well, yesterday when I was emptying out the wet bag when we got home, I noticed the CD he was wearing when I dropped him off was NOT in the bag. It was too late to call the center, so I had to wait until this morning. I talked to the teachers at drop off and they looked around for it, but it looks like they accidentally THREW IT AWAY... I understand it was an honest mistake but I'm still LIVID!

Omg I would be so mad! Our DC sent one of our CDs, a pink one, home on another kid... A boy. Not that boys can't wear pink, but this kid doesn't have any pink or purple dipes, or BGs. Luckily I got mine back. Did they talk about compensating you for your loss?

Not yet. They are going to look for it more today. If it doesn't turn up, which I'm pretty sure it won't, I'll talk to the director tonight about it.

I'd be bummed, but I don't know about livid. Part of me kind of thinks that is a risk you run when sending CDs (or clothes, toys, whatever) to daycare (and I say that as someone who does send those things to daycare). I mean, I think they should be careful and I'd sure talk w/ the director and/or the teachers again about it, but if it's the first time it's happened I probably wouldn't raise a huge stink. Do you know if maybe there was a new or substitute teacher in your son's room yesterday?

Luckily, it was one of my least favorite, cheaper ones and it didn't have a hemp insert in it...
It was the normal 2 teachers who are there everyday since DS started. I understand it was a mistake and don't plan to raise a huge fuss. I just came here to vent to someone who could relate ...I think this means I should buy more, right?

As a matter of fact, yes. One to replace the lost one, one in case it happens again, and 1 to 10 more just to make you feel better, depending on how upset you are.

As a matter of fact, yes. One to replace the lost one, one in case it happens again, and 1 to 10 more just to make you feel better, depending on how upset you are.
