Babies on the Brain

Am I pregnant?

I really want to be pregnant. Three weeks and one day ago I had a curse-like bleeding (period) but with no cramps and it only lasted three days and was lighter than usual. Since then I've been nauseous in late mornings and early afternoons only. Last night was the first night in over a week I was able to eat a full meal without wanting to get sick I have been really tired too, more than normal. And in the last few days my boobs have been sore- I work in a daycare and a toddler went to hug me today and it hurt my boobs. Two days ago I started bleeding like a curse but lighter (like the last time) and with no cramps again. I always have cramps with a curse. I am seriously hoping to get an answer.

I did a home pregnancy test a week ago. It was negative. Friday I went to the doctors who came up with a negative result, but she said it was too early to tell and to try again. I just really want to know what my chances are because I really really hope I am :) Thank you.

  • You have a 20% chance each month.

  • Your chances are the same whether or not you posted this board on TB. How could we possibly know if you're pregnant? We aren't in your ute. Keep testing weekly until you get AF.
  • Reading your reply to another poster, I saw you just came of BCP a week ago. More than likely your body is going wonky from the hormone changes, coming off of the pill.

Negative test=empty uterus. Symptoms don't usually start until at least 11 dpo, I didn't have any symptoms at all with either pregnancy until 5/6 weeks.

You are more than likely just hypersensitive of everything your body is doing, since you are TTC.

I'll say it again, out of total honesty. Anything can change a period. You can be regular for years until you aren't. Like the drop of a hat. Especially because you are coming off the pill. If you aren't tracking or temping, you have no way of actually knowing when you ovulate. You could have totally ovulated later than usual. For. No. Reason.

But, since the internet can't tell you whether you are preggly or not, wait a week and test again.

  • You had regular cycles on BC and now you don't. You are no special snowflake who's different from any other woman coming off BC. But fine, you never have irregular cycles. If we say you're pregnant it doesn't mean you are. Holy ish this board makes my brain hurt.
