Two things I hate about GYN

appointments.
1. Peeing in tiny cups.
2. Getting naked in a cold room.

I hate having my annual pap.

Oh and I'm judging. 1 woman is here with 3 children under 5ish. They are running around screaming and knocking the umbrella stroller over for fun. Control your kids lady!

Yup. I'm not sure why. I never get the results. I asked why and was told its routine. I asked what they tested for and was told protein and pregnancy.

My doctor does the same thing, but she does a full panel on the urine - protein, sugar, yeast, density, color, pregnancy...I guess that might be the difference between seeing a family physician and an ob/gyn for my annual exam?

I get not having a sitter. Been there a time or two. I do make sure I bring entertainment and a snack for A. I also make sure she isn't being rude or behaving like a maniac.

 I have my annual on Wednesday.  I just realized that also should be CD1.  I hope I'm at least a day late.  It will be my 2nd PP period so going on CD1 will not be an option.

I am pretty sure they test for all of that. I've always seen a GYN for my yearly.

Until DD weaned at 13 months.  It was fantastic.

until this last year, shortly before getting pregnant, Imalways went to my family doctor.  My last one was at my ob's and I don't think I had to pee in a cup at either.

The worst is when they are running late, as usual, and your just chilling in that paper thin gaping gown for 20 minutes.

It's interesting how each practice completes of different type of test exams. You would assume it would be the same across the board.

Do you give blood? I have to give fasting blood work at the new GYN. I gave blood at my last OB, but it wasn't fasting.

Never. But I get my yearly physical done by my PCP, not my OB. Me thinks you are getting both of those, and that would explain the pee and blood.

 

Nope. I get a yearly physical around my birthday.

I do have Kaiser insurance they do things weird. My OB in Nashville, always ran them too. Weirdos

I always go to an OB for my annual, but I also have never had to surrender pee either.

 

I WISH the rooms at my OB's office were cold. They're always ridiculously hot, and then the stupid paper gowns and paper that covers the table always stick to my butt and the backs of my legs.

This makes me hate you just a little K. I EBF Genevieve until she was 10.5 months and I'm still nursing her. I got my period back 3 months PP. It was like a cruel joke.
