My ds has started sttn, but only when his diaper doesn't leak! If it does, he's up around 2 or 3, and figures if he's awake, he might as well eat too. So ,as you can imagine, I really want his diapers to stop leaking! I've dealt with fit and absorbancy issues, and am now considering a stripping just in case repelling is the problem. If that doesn't fix it, I'm gonna need to look into something other than pockets for ON. So...talk to me about fitteds!
What brands do you like/not like?
Do I have to use a wool cover with them, or can I use the same PUL covers I use with prefolds?
Can I combine with a fleece liner to keep him dry?
Have you ever had leaking problems with fitteds ON?
I think my husband might throw a fit if I tell him we need more diapers, so I need to be sure the next thing I try REALLY WORKS! Thanks!

Kiwi Pie for naps and playtime, Sbish snapless for overnight.

You can use PUL covers. When I only had one wool cover, I used PUL as a backup when I had to wash/lanolize my wool and it might take 1-2 nights to dry. Wool breathes better, though, for those longer stretches of sleep.
Can I combine with a fleece liner to keep him dry?
Yes.
Have you ever had leaking problems with fitteds ON?
Only if they weren't fastened snugly enough. This has happened a couple of times with my Sbish w/ snaps.
I love my S'bish snapless for overnight. I used to use them under an unstuffed pocket as a cover, but more recently started using a Capri cover. It leaks every once and awhile since DS is a tummy sleeper, so we are starting wool this week. We have some fleece liners, but usually forget to put them on. DS doesn't seem bothered by the wetness and his skin is fine.
I use Twinkie Tush or Sbish OBF overnight. The TT's are way more absorbent though and the velour keeps him dry so I don't bother with a liner like I do my Sbish.
We use Sloomb wool covers to make it super bullet proof. However, I have used my Thirsties covers if needed.
If there is velour I don't bother with a fleece liner since it's pretty stay dry with the velour.
I've only had leaks when using my Sbish snapless or my Goodmamas overnight. My TT's are usually still dry in back and my OBF's are pretty damp, but no leaks.
We recently switched to a fitted with wool cover for ON. I was using a pocket diaper double stuffed, but due to DD's skinny legs, she would have gaps around her legs and we had leaks. There is a little bit of a learning curve with the wool, but if you have the right combination with the fitteds, it works great.
Fitted's, we have 2 B4's (Bububebe) and a Cutie PaTootie by Lauren. I really like both. I do want to try a Twinkie Tush. But will have to wait a little awhile before spending more on diapers. I have also heard great things about the Sbish OBF fitteds as well.

If you have a heavy overnight wetter, then yes, IMO, these diapers are absolutely worth it. They're my favorite overnight fitted (regular TTs are my favorite daytime fitted).
What brands do you like/not like? twinkie tush night-nights are my favorite. I also have used Sbish OBF overnight with success.
Do I have to use a wool cover with them, or can I use the same PUL covers I use with prefolds? Wool
Can I combine with a fleece liner to keep him dry? I use them for DD
Have you ever had leaking problems with fitteds ON? No
We use Old School Cool or Pooters fitteds with fleece covers overnight. I add an extra doubler to the Pooters, either a hemp babies or clotheez. I do use fleece liners. Both of those types of diapers are absorbent enough that I can use any cover with them, but I like fleece soakers the best. Dirt cheap, breathable, easy to care for. I make them myself and love them.
Fyi: Pooters are the cheapest nice fitteds I've found. Green Mountain workhorse fitteds are nice but not absorbent enough for nighttime without a bunch of extra stuffing.

I don't have an night night's. I have lots of regular TT's and they work amazingly. I actually won 2 of my dipes though.
For night I use SBish OBFs. I went right to them because LO is a fairly heavy wetter. I sized up so it would fit longer (bought medium when she's really a small) and I don't need the doubler it comes with yet. LO is only barely damp in front after 11h with just the snap in soaker. The company recommends sizing up to help them fit longer. The crossover snap makes the waist super tiny, and while the legs are a touch loose, it hasn't caused any issues. I usually add a fleece liner.
I use a flip cover right now. It's starting to stink in the morning though (ammonia type smell). I tried using fleece longies I won and there was no smell, so the extra air flow is something to consider for rash prone skin or heavy wetters. I'm looking into some fleece covers now as fleece pants are too warm this time of year! Note-most people seem to prefer wool, but I wanted easy laundering.
I have not had a single leak since switching to fitteds for overnight. Even when she's gone past 12 hours, or had a major explosive poop in the morning. Sizing up it does gap a bit on the legs, but I've only gotten poop on the cover once, and never outside the cover.
1) We use SBish OBFs or Tots Bots Bamboozles. We kept having leak issues with our SBish snapless - I think it was an absorbency thing, but I didn't really want to use a bunch of doublers/inserts every night to make it work (we were already using a hemp doubler and the extra insert that comes with the snapless at that time).
2) We typically use wool, but also use blueberry coveralls or bummis super brite covers if I don't have a dry/lanolized cover available.
3) We use a fleece liner.
4) The only issues we've had with overnight are some damp wool in the morning. But that's more of a lanolizing issue, not a problem with the fitted.
Nana, how the heck did you win 2 of them??? I would love to get my hands on a TT, but don't have the funds for them.
