I just accepted a two day job subbing in a kindergarten class at the worst school in our city.  At the end of the school year (school ends Thursday, I'm working Tuesday and Wednesday).  While pregnant and overheating (the schools never have A/C).

The decision to take the job may have been influenced by the 1.5 hour tantrum Lily had been throwing just before I got the call.

That's true.  And 2 days subbing earns me about the same as an entire month of my pt job, so it'll be nice to have the extra money.

Good luck LCass!  Hopefully the days will go by quickly for you! I feel like they always go by quickly when there is a lot to do.

Yeah this. You won't actually have to teach them anything right? We always ate tons of junk and watched movies on the last days of school haha

It's usually slightly different in kindergarten, 'cause they don't have the same realization that it's the end of school and their grades are already in.  But at the same time, a good chunk of their day is already just play, and I'm guessing it'll be even more so now (no lessons, really, probably just stories and activities.  But they're sooooo active!  Fortunately, there should be an ECE (early childhood educator) in the room as well.
