Have any of you sewn your own Mei Tai? What features did you decide to include in yours, and what patterns did you work from? I've googled and there are so so many options! I'm not sure what direction to take.
Also, PIP your DIY carrier so that I can "ooh and aah" in appreciation of your creativity and talent! ;D

I've made several MT's. I started with very simple and am now changing my pattern again. I want to add pockets. I have pictures all over my blog in my siggy.
I will say I used to use a thick heavy weight, I have since discovered that linen works sooo much better. It makes it much easier to tie.

I have thought about adding hoods. I just don't like the square ones.
Also, I am making mine with wider straps now. More wrap style, I like it better.
