Yesterday I had my baby, her name is Blair Everly. We love her name, and I know that's all that matters, but DH's aunt had the nerve to say "She's a beautiful baby, but what kind of name is Blair Everly? I feel so bad for her!" And then she laughed, so we did too. But seriously? You're going to say that about my baby? Keep it to yourself please! Geez.

Whoa. Completely rude and out of line. I am so sorry! I know of someone who does that same type of thingsay something completely rude and uncalled for and then laugh like that makes it okay. Don't let this ruin anything! For the record, I think her name is very pretty.

That is ridiculous.  My aunt's MIL didn't like her choice of name, so my aunt told her, "We went with the decision of the highest bidder - us.  However, if you'd like to financially sponsor the baby for life, we'll be happy to go with your name."

FTR - they named their son William.  Nutso, right?
