Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Feeding question

I know there are a ton of theses but I'm a FTM and was just curious, DD is going to be 7 months in a couple days and we started solids at 6 months. Our normal routine now is wake up and she gets a bottle (usually around 6:30 am). Then either oatmeal or yogurt about 7:15/7:30 am. She plays then naps. When she gets up she sometimes fusses to eat and sometimes doesn't, like today she didn't eat again until 12:45/1 pm. Ten we do another bottle and a veggie. And she plays and naps again. Then she'll eat another bottle and fruit. Before bed we do another bottle. During the morning/day she drinks 6 oz and before bed she gets 8 oz. she STTN and wakes about 6:15/6:30 am. She goes to bed around 7/7:30 pm.

I guess my question is: is this ok? She's gaining and happy so I'm guessing she's getting enough and we are starting to use a sippy with just a little bit of water when she gets baby food. TIA!

Re: Feeding question

  • It sounds ok-the recommendations vary so much though that I'd just go by the things you mentioned (like gaining and being happy). LO doesn't do bottles, so I don't know about the oz, but as long as there's no decline its all good. The food is in addition to their milk. LO always eats a good supper with us, but the other meals have been hit or miss.
