DS didn't take a paci as a newborn so we just quit trying to give him one. Last week I was cleaning up his room and found a package of pacis for 9 months and just gave it to him to play with. Well now he will crawl with his paci and he seems to really like it. I started giving it to him at night when getting him ready for bed since he hates it and its helped him with that too. Should I quit giving it to him so I don't start the habit this late in the game? Thought?
I have to say he's so cute sucking on it lol!

Our Dr said to get rid of it by 16 months. That's 8 months of good sleep thanks to a paci. Lol
DS always feels the need to have a paci in his mouth even when he's happy. We are constantly taking it out of his mouth and the miraculously he'll find one and plop it back in. I dread the day when we start weaning. Maybe it will be easier to wean him later since he just started taking it.
SCANDAL!
Yup I agree. Don't start a habit you'll regret and have to break later. If he does fine now without one, no need now. I was weaning my ODS from the paci at 11 months. I didn't want the fight later. Its like CIO all over again.
