Restrained naps

It sounds awful, but if I let dd nap on the boppy on my lap, then when she stirs I can hold her arms down so she doesn't hit herself in the face and wake herself up. I found if I picked her up, she would scream: she wants to sleep on her own and not in my arms, but if I put a reassuring hand on her back and keep her arms out of her face I can turn a 10 min nap into 45 to 90 min nap!!!
