High-Risk Pregnancy

Which one?

Obviously I am asking this early but being high risk I want to be prepared.

I'm 22 weeks and what I call pre GD my levels are still normal but only a few points from having GD. I'm already on Metformin due to PCOS. However everything has been fine and going great.

There is a history of labor complications in my mom's family being her and my grandmother. Both have had csections and breech babies and cords being around necks etc. the dr has said they are thinking csections for me but if things stay the same they will let me push or try for vaginal birth. She said if I felt more comfortable with a csection that wasn't a problem.

I'm wondering if I should just have the csection I'm comfortable with either one honestly and I knew before getting pregnant it was going to be a csection I never thought I would get a choice. I just want my baby to be safe and healthy.

What would you ladies do?

Only you can decide what is best for you.  I'm in a similar situation where c-section is most likely, but there is a chance I could try natural.  I'm just waiting until I get much further along to see if I will get the opportunity to make the decision vs. having it made for me.

  • I was born with my cord wrapped around my neck and I had no complications with my son. I think with today's u/s technology you will have fair warning of cord or breech issues. But do what makes you most comfortable.
