Who has used these? I can't imagine they are a bad diaper, as I love our GMD prefolds. I just noticed newborn are only $5.50 and while I have a full stash, I'd love to get maybe 4 of them to have the first couple of weeks and not worry about a snappi for our third baby. But then again, newborns don't even need snappis anyway. How about for poop containment to save on getting poop on covers. Help me justify buying some LOL!!

It's not in my budget to get the $10 larger sizes, but I just love the idea of these diapers. My stash now is mostly prefolds and covers, with several pockets in each size to supplement.  My babies have been 9lb 2oz and 8lb 4oz and I expect this one to be upper 8s, so the newborn size would fit for 2-3 weeks.

I would get some if I didn't already have such a healthy NB stash.  I would get snapless though and use a snappi for a tight fit.

Why are snappis not necessary for NBs, though?  I feel like they are most important for explosive NB poop for containment then less necessary as LO gets older and you can just trifold.   

I'd agree with that - my reason that they don't really need them is they are hardly mobile, so the diaper does stay put better. 

Thanks for the feedback! If I get some, I'll consider the snapless as well.

And...do they no longer sell the bleached variety? There are several completed listings on eBay for GMD white workhorse, but the GMD site only sells the organic unbleached.

These were by far my favorite newborn diaper. Paired with a Thirsties XS or a newborn RaR cover.. you can't go wrong!

Haven't used them yet, but I got 4 for my nb stash, two no closure and two with snaps (along with 24+ prefolds and some various nb AIOs). If I were buying now, I'd have gotten 4 no closure and 2 snaps, or maybe even 6 no closure.

I use these on my daughter and I love them. It's just a prefold, but in a trimmer shape. Less bulk.
