One Big Baby!

So DS had his 4 month well check today and he is even bigger  than I thought! He is weighing in at 17 lbs 1 oz, is 26" long with a head circ of 17" - holy wow!

He's in the 90th percentile for height/ weight and the 85th for head circumference! So in 4 months, he has grown 5"  and has more than doubled his birth weight...

I have to wonder if my "not-so-little-anymore dudes" are on the charts for full term babies yet. They're 12lbs so there has to be some baby out there they can out-eat!

Yay for a healthy babe!!! My DS is on the bigger size.. His head is actually >99%!  Sounds like your DS is doing great

Holy moly, I'm not even sure if DD weighs that much NOW! She was only 16 lbs. 2 oz. at her 9 month. I bet he has got the best chubby legs!!

I got a big baby too  

My son had almost doubled his birthweight by two pounds, and then on average has been gaining one pound and one inch every month.  At seven months, he was 23.3lbs, and is 28 inches long :P  His pedi was like, "Now it's not an issue for a while, but technically, being 99%, we have to label him 'obese'" lol.  But he's finally slowing down a bit, and he really is pretty long, too so I'm not worried.

Besides, these big babies of ours, are going to give us some AMAZING arm definition/tone (of course, our spines will snap in half at any moment, but at least our arms will look great)

 

ETA doubled his weight by two months, not two pounds lol :P

Sounds a lot like my sons 4 month stats...16 pounds, 26 inches. I'm excited to see where he is tomorrow for his 6 month visit.
