A splash pad in sapulpa Oklahoma was giving kids chemical like burbs. You can google my phone won't copy and paste the link correctly. It happened in Tulsa before at Mohawk park. I just clean ds really well after we go. I love splash pads but really worry about kids colliding with him and him hitting his head on the concrete. I saw it happen last time we went. Just scares me

They have always been hit or miss for us. Some times my kids love them, some times they are afraid to get their faces sprayed if the pressure is too hard. We keep trying because they days they have fun are awesome.
I took DS1 the other day. He is 20 months. Wasnt too sure about it liked it most of the time, but I think he much preferres the pool.
I, on the other hand was having a blast.
I loved the splash park when mine were smaller esp when DS2 was a baby. (DD was 4, DS2). It was easy to see out over the park to watch the kids and contain my LOs easily.
Mine have outgrown it now. They are all about the waterpark and riding the big slides now.
I haven't taken DD yet, but there's an awesome one near us I can't wait to take her to. I didn't realize there was something to rant about. Now I'm nervous.
This.
DS isn't old enough, 9 months old, but we have two awesome ones near us at water parks and also one at the YMCA. I can't wait for him to use them. I didn't realize there was a bad side. They look like tons of fun. I'm excited to go in with him!
C has been going to the waterpark since he was 7 months old. Just have them on a side crawling in some spraying water, thats what he did in the more splashy area instead of the pools.

Re: Splash park
1.Cheaper than the pool, especially because you pay extra if you don't live in the city limits.
2. No deep water-or even standing water to worry about.
3.My kids can burn off their energy without complaining that it is too hot, or they don't have anyone to play with.
Nothing to complain about here!

There was a really nice one near our old house. Our new place seems to have a lot of small ones close by. DS will love it.
