How do you break bad news to your Mister?

Just curious.  I hate doing it, procrastinate like crazy.  

When he's in a bad mood it's game over for the rest of the day or weekend.

Depends on the news...some things I just come out and tell him, other things I give him in bits and pieces.

depends what it's about... if I screwed up about something, i'd break it slowly, btu if something crappy just happened to me or someone, i'd let it flow.

First, I wallow around in how I don't want to be the one to tell him.

Next, I go through several scenarios where I could get out of telling him.

Then, I talk myself out of not telling him, and talk myself into a tactful way of telling him.

In the end I get all nervous, walk in the room, and blurt it out. It works though, being straightforward generally goes over best with hubs. All the truth at once is easier for him to process. [or for anyone to process, I think]

I just tell him, like ripping off a bandaid.

Most of the time I just tell him right away. Other times I will wait until absolutely necessary or give him a warning before hand.
