If you had a faint positive on a cheap test would you tell your DH right away? Or would you test over a few days with another cheapie followed by something like a first response? Just to be sure...
I'd tell my dh, but I would definitely tell him I wasn't sure it was a false positive. There is just no way I'd be able to hide that something was up, and I'd love to have him there to talk me down if needed!
Thanks ladies. We haven't been trying actively for long so I think I can hold out for a few days. His birthday is in a little over a week so if it still shows you hope I can wait until then...
I tell my DH everything cramps, CM, everything so I'd tell him about the squinter.nbsp; But I wouldn't get my hopes up until I tested again the next morning with FMU using a digital. Now when I test, I use a pee cup, but I don't flush the pee away until after I get the result.nbsp; My plan is that when I get a second line on a cheap test, I can immediately retest with a digital and see the word Pregnant.nbsp; Here's hoping that's in 2 weeks!
I had never thought of saving the cup and testing the same batch... I hope you get your positive!
I would want to tell someone and have them look at it, and since we aren't telling people, there's just us. Plus we're in this together. Now, if I got a squinter in the morning after he left for work, I'd probably run out and get a FRER to test again, but no way I wouldn't be able to tell him when he got home from work.

I don't think I could have resisted if he were home. We work opposite shifts today. I suppose I could test after work and then go jump on the bed! Lol
I got a squinter on 9DPO but at first I wasn't confident enough to tell MH. But the more I looked at it the harder it got to see, so I walked away from it for a while and then when I came back (with fresh eyes I guess) it was much easier to see so I told MH.
But I guess if you can hold in the news, keep testing until you're confident enough that you're not seeing things.

I would not tell DH until I saw "pregnant" on a digital. I don't like telling him once I get close to testing. For some reason it makes me more antsy and anxious.
I've never had a squinter.nbsp; :I don't know what I'd do.
I had a squinter from a bad batch of wondfos. I literally called "Bull Shiit" on the pee stick and dipped another. Stupid effing squinters.

Jordan Samuel born April 19, 2014. 6 lb, 12 oz and 18 inches long.
I went out and bought a FRER and a FR Digi Gold. Held my pee for several hours and took them that same day. I told him once the FRER and digi confirmed for me.
Both of those pregnancy tests are as sensitive if not more than the cheapies.
I would tell him. he would probably know something was going on with me anyway. i have never had a squinter but i can imagine i would be pretty anxious to test again!
I've had 4 squinters the past 2 days, all on wondfos. FRER BFN, target brand also BFN. I called H at work and told him I thought I saw another line. I hate wondfos and hate squinters.
As I'm still fairly new to all this I imagine I would tell right away. If I had been trying for long time and/or had a M/C I would probably be a bit more hesitant.

I tell him right away and then we're both anxious over the next few days.
ETA: DH usually can see the squinters too, but he likes to see "pregnant" displayed on a digital.

THIS!!! I totally made this mistake, and it ended up being negative after we celebrated and were so excited
But the good news is, 90% of the time a faint line means POSITIVE
so congrats if you are.

This! I don't want to say anything to H until I have confirmation on several different tests.
