Mucus???

Hey ladies this is a little TMI but I just experienced a gush of that offwhitish discharge....a few minutes later I felt a relief on my lungs. I didn't feel contractions but my lower abdomen did get really hard for a minute without pain. I'm a little nervous as I am only 32 weeks. I've been having braxton hicks for a few weeks now and I just can't tell the difference. as i'm writting this I am beggining to feel sharp pains in my back and side but cannot tell what it is? Please comfort me if you can.

Baby may have dropped a bit or changed positions. Are you looking for a specific answer? We can't really tell you what's going on...

My experience is that if you have to ask if you are in labor then you are not.

Off white and thin is just normal discharge.

Mucus plug would be yellowy, very thick and stringy, often tinged with blood. Like reeeeally thick snot. It's pretty unmistakeable. Even if it was your plug, you have nothing to worry about; it can come and go because cervical mucus regenerates. It has nothing to do with labor. I lost my plug a week ago.

If it's your water breaking, you'll continue to have gushes that will soak through pads. It will be clear and odorless to sweet smelling.

I think you need to relax. :]
