Blogging Question- Tech HELP

I have been trying to do this for a while. I go to my blog, click on write a blog post, and it keeps telling me,

"Your account is pending approval. You need to verify your email. Go to your User Profile where you can send an email to verify your address."

I have done this, gone to my inbox, but I does not show where to send an email. Please advise. Thank you.

    I have tried everything. I have even seen others asking the same question with no reply from tech. Some questions as far back as 2011. I guess tech really has no idea on how to answer this question.
