Heated pools

I have a silly question. Is it okay to swim in a heated pool during the 2ww after an IUI cycle? Ive been on a waiting list for DS to do swim lessons and they just called to start next week. TIA.

How hot? And how long? I it's hot like a hot tub, I wouldn't. If it's body temp, 99 or so, I probably would

They are usually not even as warm as a bath, so I would think it's fine.

As long as it's not a hot tub, it's fine.  I did swimming lessons with my daughter before I knew I was pregnant and during my entire pregnancy with my son in the therapy pool at the YMCA where the water was like 98 degrees (I think maybe 10 degrees warmer than the regular, big pool).  My OB said they just worry about your body temp getting elevated above 100 which is why they say no to hot tubs, but a heated pool that is set at your body temp or slightly above is fine.

I doubt a heated pool would be hot enough to do anything. Plenty of women go swimming in heated pools and get pregnant on their own. We are just so tuned in to every detail. I think you are fine. Enjoy!

I'm in the pool a ton! I was told to stay out during my IVF 2ww, but I think it was concern about infection because of the retrieval. I swam my entire pregnancy and DD loves the pool!!
