I had a relatively flat stomach to begin with, then gave birth to twins six months ago. My stomach is getting back to normal, however, I notice some excess skin and my belly button looks kind of scary. Does this ever go away?
It really depends on genetics and age, but try strength training. Not just of your abs, but overall weight lifting. I've lost 80 lbs and have a TON of extra skin. I hate it. It is SLOWLY getting better due to lifting and eating very healthy (when I eat very healthy).
sometimes I wonder if my "pooch" is loose skin or if it's still fat that won't go away. In your case of having twins, I have heard that you get loose skin with the twin belly. the belly will get smaller but the loose skin won't. I plan on having a tummy tuck after baby #2.
I don't have a ton of it, but I worry that it might get a little worse when I'm back in shape. I would definitely consider surgery, but I think I'd be too scared to go through with it (since there is always some risk associated with surgery).
Thanks for responding! I guess I will see where I am once I really get back to working out (right now, I'm doing the elliptical and walking everyday, but no weight training or stomach exercises yet)...and then live with whatever I look like at that point!

It shouldn't get worse. I lost 86 pounds and don't have any loose skin because I ate right and worked out thru the whole process. I do think I have a little loose skin on my belly but that's it. It has tightened up more than I could have imagined.
I don't have any kids so I can't really give an opinion on that but I've lost about 80 lbs. The only place I would say I have 'loose skin' is small amounts under my arms and like right around my bra line. It's slowly getting better as I build more muscle and eat cleaner. I'm kind of terrified to get pregnant cause I don't want it to come ALL back, but I know I can lose it again if I have to.
I am agree with that this is happen because of some genetic issues. But you can control it after take care of your diet. Always try to take balanced diet and also do some exercise like swimming. Because of that exercise your muscles are tight and skin was also toned.
