Updated: Crazy Day (questionable HPT results)

I have had the craziest day ever.  It started with DH waking me up at 5:45 this morning telling me that he has been since 5:00 because his stomach hurt so bad (he said it woke him from a dead sleep).  So I got up and showered and he still wasn't feeling better so we headed to the ER around 7:00 am.  After almost 4 hours at the hospital all of DH's tests (blood work and CT)  came back normal.  They sent us home with a prescription for pain meds and Prilosec.

i dropped DH off at home and went to the pharmacy to fill his prescription and picked up lunch.  After lunch I went to the bathroom and absently looked at my test from this morning and low and behold there is a super faint second line!  WTF! I thought maybe I had line eye so I called DH upstairs and ask him if he saw anything and he said, "yeah a really faint second line."

I definitely can't call this a BFP yet and this very well could be an evap line (since I didn't see the line until 7 hours after I took the test).  I'm also worried that even if this is the real thing that a line that faint at 13 DPO might be a bad sign.  I am trying to hold my pee to test again tonight and will definitely be testing again tomorrow morning.

If this is an evap line I am going to be p!ssed. 

Update:  Well it must have been an evap line, because today's test was snow white.  I couldn't even bring myself to dip one of the FRERs I bought yesterday.  I guess I learned a lesson, don't trust any lines after the testing time frame.  

I'm done testing for this cycle and my period should be here by Monday.  It looks like we will officially be moving on to IVF and I'm hoping we have enough time to get on my clinic's August cycle. 

Thanks again for everyone's well wishes, DH is feeling a little better today.

Holy shiz Twinkie!! I will be keeping everything crossed that this is the real thing!!! Please keep us posted!  Also, if this is a legit line, perhaps you were just a late implanter and the fact that it was faint doesn't mean anything at all.

Hope your DH is feeling better as well.

Girl!  This is why you should never take a test unless you have the few minutes to wait for the correct time to look at it for it to be accurate!  Personally, I've never seen an evap line (and yes, I'm in the club of those that have dug pee sticks out of the trash to have a second or third look to make sure there was not a line).   But then again I always use the FRER tests since I rarely test.  

FX tomorrow morning you have the time to stand there and wait for it and that the line is clearly there in the window of time.  Good luck!

And I have preached this to many newbies on TTGP and then don't even take my own advice.  ::hangs head in shame::

Normally I stand there and watch the test for at least 5 minutes, but today I was in such a hurry to get ready in case DH needed to go to the ER that I looked at it after a minute and figured it was negative.

I'm sorry that it was evap, that really is a mindfluck!  I'm sure there's enough time to sign up at the IVF clinic for Aug...I was told last week that there were still plenty of August slots open.

Thanks.  I'm glad to know there are still open spots.  I guess I was just worried that I wouldn't have time to get any additional testing done (I am sure I will need more blood work and maybe a SHG?).  I think I will feel better about everything once this cycle is officially over and I get to talk to the doc and get the ball rolling for IVF.

I'm sorry it was an evap line. That sucks! Even though it sounds like you've abandoned hope for this cycle, I'm still keeping my FX for you.... you never know! Regardless, I think it's good that you're thinking forward. Hopefully your BFP isn't too far away!
