Re: UO Recap

(I refuse to recap the gun-jumping East Coast UO thread. Let an East Coaster recap it!)

acaudill75 doesn?t thinks adults should pay their own way and are responsible for their actions, regardless of age, and that children aren?t responsible to help their parents out (or is it siblings?). Mostly Popular.

MrsCodeMonkey thinks nice salons are overrated. I think it?s more about the stylist than the salon.

Pfft doesn?t think adults should use baby powder as perfume. Very popular.

phunkyphish thinks there should be some sort of logic/common sense test given with a driving test. Welcome to the Recap, noob! :)

shanado boycotted the UO east coast because she fears change. I?m wit her.

jdismybug1 can?t stand managers who micromanage. Along with Dilbert, I think most of us agree with this.

missyishere still thinks there should be a disintegrating pregnancy test that doubles as a toilet cleaner. She needs to patent that idea, right nao.

fredalina hates the encore portion of concerts. I?m torn. I think it?s kind of stupid if a band has one or two huge hits and holds back said hit for the planned encore. But I?ve also been to shows where the crowd was hot and the band jammed for a good 15-20 minutes that was clearly ?extra?. Mixed?

LoisLayn23 thinks pants on babies are silly unless it?s cold. What about crawlers or those who still hybrid while climbing? Knee protection?

angelashly doesn?t believe in the whole ?divorce is not an option? way of thinking. I imagine this will be popular around here (Parenting leans very pragmatic). Also, Welcome!

piglet6609 doesn?t find Benedict Cumberbatch attractive. Mixed. This is the last time I will recap anything about his relative attractiveness.

MollusksWrangler prefers minivans to SUVs. I agree, although we?re gonna hold out as long as we can in a smaller vehicle. But for someone with 3 children I can?t imagine a compact working. Popular

andrea99 says just because your grand kids are racially mixed doesn?t automatically make you not racist. This is just obviously true, considering how people of color can be racist against other people of color, for starters. Popular.

Drea926 is super excited they are making a 50 Shades of Grey movie.

amykins1283 thinks old fashioned clothes on boys are ugly and paying bunches of money for kids clothes is dumb. Controversial (the money part, not the old fashioned) Hot Topic

HilarityEnsued doesn?t really like perfume. I?m thinking this one has almost been beaten to death. Popular.

eddy321 doesn?t think every holiday needs to be hyped like it is and bigger holidays are becoming less special. But what about the Marketers??? Someone has to buy all that green St. Patty?s crap!!! Mixed?

izzourclue can?t get it up to read and respond to family drama threads, although she enjoys ?DH is a d1ck threads?.

seahorse102410 (that?s a good birthday) thinks it?s dumb when a husband sends his wife flowers on her first day back from mat leave. I guess he should send other women flowers? Good to know. Seemed like more of a vent. Mostly Unpopular.

AshPal61 doesn?t care that James Gandalfini died.

Molluskswrangler prefers potted plants to flowers that will die. I think that way, but DW does not.

LuckyDad, in an early appearance, thinks it?s stupid for someone to say ?I?m speechless? about an event either before or after saying several sentences on the topic.

LuckyDad, straddling pages, thinks while it?s sad for the person?s family, it?s not shocking when a fat 51 year old man passes away from heart issues. Mixed, but more popular than Un.

EllaHella hates the terms hangry and sorrynotsorry. Mixed, and a lot of people like hangry, making this Unpopular.

MrsWindyCity hates cutesy euphemisms for words for kids.

MrsWindyCity also hates writing/novelty clothing for children like ?Daddy?s Little Man?. Popular?

chapski doesn?t care for birds, especially as pets. My DS would disagree. He LOVES birds right now. Popluar?

    LOL

A woman on the radio was actually saying this on the radio on my drive home. Like, four sentences about James Gandalfini and his death, then "I'm Speechless".

No, you're not. You just said a bunch on the topic. You can be shocked, sad, a bunch of things. But clearly she was abusing the word "speechless"!

EllaHella doesn?t like Melting Pot. I will allow this as a critique of the business and not a food UO. I realize I?m splitting hairs. Mixed

I don't like restaurant UOs, because 9 times out of 10, I've never been to said restaurant.

Do you also hate the abuse of the word "literally"?

Passionately. I literally can't stand it when people misuse literally. It figuratively makes me want to kill them.

One thing I love about Archer is every character uses Literally and Figuratively correctly, for comic effect.
