I have a BA in Human Services and was wondering if anyone else has this degree and if so where do you work/what do you do? I am looking for a full time M-F job and am having a hard time finding one. Thanks!!
As of right now, you might be able to get a job for a child welfare agency, the state in the Human Services department, a mental health center, maybe as an activity director or work at an adult daycare center...
I had the same degree, but went straight on to get my LMSW, as most of the positions I listed above are pretty low-paying. I am the assistant director of a department in Child Welfare, but I know we hire human service degree recipients for some positions in our fieldwork. Good luck!

I don't really know what that degree means- can you describe the type of classes you took, esp in your last year or two of school?
I wonder if ppl reviewing your resume are the same- do you include a description of the degree or waht it is supposed to prepare you to do? Also often on the college/university website for a degree, they will list the careers that graduates have gone on to pursue. You might be able to contact the career center where you graduated for assistance too. Maybe some help from an employment/resume expert could help you tailor your resume to the job(s) you're applying to?
Just some thoughts. Good luck! I have an undergraduate degree in something sort of ambiguous also and many of us went on to graduate school but those who didn't did a host of different things, it is sometimes a matter of marketing yourself well & showing your strengths & how they apply to the position you're hiring for.
Also try to maximize your network & get some helpful tips on Linkedin-- they have a lot of resources for employment/job searching on there & it is free so that is a start maybe...
