Lactulose?

C is constipated, poor little guy. The pedi prescribed him Lactulose, and the nurse told me to give it to him in the morning so he wouldn't be pooping all night. He seemed to be having such a rough time though, I decided that wouldn't be a bad thing and gave it at his 9pm feeding last night. The nurse made it sound like he would go pretty quickly, but still nada. I just feel bad because he gets hungry but doesn't want to finish his bottle. Does anybody have any experience with this stuff? How fast did it work for your LO? Im going to call the office when they open, but I thought I'd ask here too. Thanks from me and C!
