help with Britax B-safe base noise

We had our B-safe car seats installed at the fire department last night. They seem great-nice and snug in the car. I took the baby carrier out of the car because I felt silly driving with it without baby...the base rattles like crazy. It seems to be the level wheels on both sides of the base. I immediately felt like there must be something wrong with my base but my husband said it is happening in his car too. I have not driven in his car to see if it is to the same annoying level mine is. Does anyone with this car seat know what I'm talking about? FTM here so maybe this is the norm for car seats? I can't imagine it is...

We have BSafe bases in two cars and our bases do not make noise. Review your owners manual and make sure they were installed correctly. The bases are easy to install and you should know how to do it on your own in case you ever need to!

  • The level on the one side of mine rattles around.  DH has stuffed a tissue in there to stop the rattling.  Only thing is, now the level isn't showing level on that side, but I know it still is.  I would say, stuff something in there and just make sure you check every so often. If this is a common problem, maybe contacting britax might help.

  • Ours don't make noise. I would review the instructions and make sure they are in correctly.

I'd contact Britax directly. They'll be able to help you best and to make sure you don't do anything that can affect the safety of the base by altering it.
  • I'd call them.

I know I've seen another post a long time ago with the same concern though, so you aren't the only one.
