I am searching all over the place for reviews comparing regular video monitors to wifi video monitors and am coming up with nothing. On one hand DH and I want to both be able to see/hear her when we're in different places, which is possible with the wifi. On the other hand, I wonder if there's connectivity issues? Our home wifi seems to work fine for everything else but we've never had a baby monitor on it.
Thoughts?
Re: S/O: Regular vs Wifi Monitor?
i had the same debate. what i discovered was the wifi ones- many do not come with monitors which i found annoying if im in bed i dont want log in from my phone to see her. the ones that come with monitors also aren't fancy. meaning they do not tilt zoom etc. which is a great feature for a monitor. some have connectivity issues and or freeze. depends on what you are looking at. i looked into summer infant one.
i decided with the 250 motorola. it has all the bells and whistles. yes i cant see LO when im on the go or not home, but while i am home the added features make it worth it IMO.
check youtube people have a lot of reviews on the products. see what fits your needs best.
We have a wifi monitor (Philips iSight) and a cheap audio monitor. We use the audio monitor the most so far, but imagine this will change as DS gets older.
we occasionally have connectivity issues, but I like that I just have to have my phone or iPad with me and don't have to lug around an extra monitor.
