I drive along farm roads to get LO to daycare in the morning. On my way out to daycare, I saw an older, very tired-looking homeless man walking the roadside with his possessions. On my way home, he was either asleep or collapsed in the ditch next to the road/fields. It's very exposed and hot out there, no trees to shelter him, no water. I called the police to have someone go out to make sure he is okay. I wish I felt safe enough to offer him assistance myself, but I don't.
I'm sending him prayers this morning. I don't know about you guys, but I have become painfully tenderhearted since I had LO. I can't see/hear about anyone in difficulty or pain without thinking that person could be my daughter. Children in particular, but vulnerable people in general.

Nope, but I may follow up with the police later to find out. We're in a smaller city, many times they will call and let you know what happened.
