I am letting my kids veg in front of the TV tonight because the oldest(4) is going through a mean streak and no one is currently fighting.
We just got in the fields today and it's a relief and a headache all at the same time. We have been praying for it to stop raining and the weather finally cooperated but the ground is rough, we need 2 more drying days but if we don't get started we might not plant all of our beans. If we don't plant all of our beans we won't be able to fill our contracts and having to pay $$ for crops you didn't even plant sucks. But the ground isn't that good and getting started up always means little things that go wrong before everyone gets the kinks out.
This is the time of year I go on a spending freeze because the money is almost out from last year and its 2 more months before we will know how much income we have for next year. (It's not that drastic but I always feel like it is)
and on a SUPER happy note #3 said "Love you" tonight. I know she was just copying what I ws saying but it melted me into a pile of mush!!
Re: A rambling(my 1 post)
as someone who is I agriculture too, I feel your pain. What do you farm? We are also in a freeze trying like hell to save every penny to buy a house as soon as we can. I feel so old these days.... Denying myself constantly and being a slave to the savings account. Hahaha.
We grow corn, dry beans, and wheat. I'm assuming from the name that you have cattle, lol.
This year has been a little rough with the spring weather. Its too wet, too cold, too whatever as I am sure you well know!
