WI, MI & MN ladies

We are taking a little family vacation to Door County, WI this summer.  Where would you recommend staying??  My DH is adamant about staying in Sister Bay, Bailey's Harbor, Ephraim, or Fish Creek.  Have any of you stayed in Sturgeon Bay?

I found this place in Sturgeon Bay which sounds amazing, but DH was like "Sturgeon Bay! I've never stayed there before!" Ok....how bout a new family memory?

Hello from Central Wisconsin! I have been to door county twice but just with my hubby no kids. We stayed in Egg Harbor both times at the Bay Point Inn. There were kids there when we were there in the past! Did you get one if their visitor guides? Sorry I am not much help, but it is a great place to visit!

I grew up in Wisconsin and Fish Creek was our go to family getaway. I love Peninsula State Park, it's gorgeous. There is also an awesome frozen custard place called Not Licked Yet. I also highly recommend the drive in theater called Skyway Drive-In. I also used to love the outdoor theater called Peninsula Players Theater where they put on live plays and fun shows. There are also tons of shops and good restaurants.

Thank you for your replies!!  DH clarified and said that Sturgeon Bay is the biggest city in Door County and doesn't really have the cutesy small town feel.  I will definitely look into those links!  Thank you!
