Although at least Emmerson could be an Emmy, which I think is cute.

Well, it depends. One is a boy's name, one is a girl's name.

If you're having a boy, I would use Emerson.

If you're having a girl, Stella.

I love Emerson...but for a boy. My daughter is Emerie, so obviously I like those kinds of names. Stella is good and especially Stella Jane:) A good friend of mine just had a precious baby girl named Stella.

Even though I am not a big fan of Stella, I would DEFINITELY pick that over Emerson. Emerson is NOT a girl's name. It's a last name or maybe a boy's name.

You will get no love for Emerson on this board (personally, I'm not a fan of it either way, but in spite of the meaning, it is way too girly for me to ever consider it for a boy). Stella by default, but it's very trendy right now.
