Accidentally ate something after touching raw ground turkey ...

I'm usually so anal about hand washing and cooking with raw meat. I got distracted and without even thinking I took a bite of something else before washing my hands after sticking a finger in raw ground turkey burgers. Ugh! Now I'm super paranoid. I've been reassured by my doc and nurse but wanted to see if anyone out there has done something similar?

It's not going to kill you, just don't make it a habit.  If you talked to the doctor, the nurse, and now you're posting about it, chances are the stress is hurting you more than licking a finger that touched raw meat.

DEFINITELY have done the same thing.  Baby girl and I are totally fine.  No worries!  I panicked too but just called the nurse advice line and they said unless I start feeling sick to not be concerned this time.  

I don't know what I was thinking, either.  I'm very good about washing my hands when handling food and, obviously, after going to the restroom.  Pregnancy brain?
