Fever and teething

I noticed that Ds had fevers 2 nights in a row, and then a new tooth popped up on the second day. Did anyone else notice fevers in LO before a new tooth comes in?

 I know fevers are related to teething but was curious how soon the new tooth comes following the fever.

I dont have much experience because we just popped 2 teeth, but DD didn't have n actual fever at all. She just felt hot to the touch. The teeth came through and she felt normal again.

DS gets clingy and won't eat warm foods when he gets a new tooth but no fevers.

No, DD just eats less, nurses more and gets cranky suddenly.
